1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Machillz — our website, apps and services for discovering places, events, stays and experiences. By creating an account or using Machillz, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Who can use Machillz

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian where the law allows, to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. Some venues and content are intended for adults only.

3. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or that we reasonably believe are fraudulent or harmful.

4. Acceptable use

When using Machillz, you agree not to:

• Post content that is false, misleading, unlawful, hateful, harassing, obscene or infringing.
• Post fake, incentivised or manipulated reviews, or reviews for a place you have a conflict of interest in.
• Impersonate any person or business, or claim a place you are not authorised to represent.
• Scrape, harvest, copy or bulk-download our content or data, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.
• Use Machillz for spam, fraud, or any unlawful purpose.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the reviews, photos, questions and other content you post. You grant Machillz a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the platform.

Reviews and contributions must be honest and based on genuine experience. We may moderate, edit or remove content that breaches these terms, and may remove content at a contributor’s request where reasonable.

6. Place listings, claims & verification

Machillz lists places from our own research and from contributions. Business owners can claim a place to manage its listing; when they do, they are responsible for keeping its information accurate and lawful, and confirm they are authorised to represent it.

A “Verified” badge means a place has passed our checks at a point in time — it confirms the listing is genuine, not that we endorse or guarantee the business. We may add, edit, merge, unlist or remove listings to keep the directory accurate.

7. Business subscriptions & payments

Users browse Machillz for free. Business owners may subscribe to paid tiers for additional features. Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment provider (Paynow) in the currency and cycle shown at checkout.

Subscriptions continue until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and will keep paid features until the end of the current billing period; unless the law requires otherwise, payments already made are non-refundable. We may change plan features or pricing on reasonable notice; continued use after a change means you accept it. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.

8. Promoters & events

To create or promote events you may need to complete identity verification (KYC). Promoters and organisers are solely responsible for their events — including accuracy, tickets, admission, safety and any refunds — and for complying with the law. Machillz is a listing platform, not the organiser, and is not a party to any ticket sale or event.

9. Loyalty points & rewards

Machillz Points have no cash value, are not your property, cannot be bought, sold or transferred, and may be adjusted, expired or revoked (for example, for reversed actions, error or abuse). Rewards are subject to availability and to the specific terms shown for each reward. We may change or end the loyalty programme on reasonable notice.

10. Third-party services

Machillz links you to third-party services — such as directions, ride-hailing, delivery, WhatsApp and payment providers. Those services are operated by others under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for them or for any transaction you make with them.

11. Intellectual property

The Machillz name, logo, design and platform content (other than content you or other users provide) belong to Machillz and are protected by law. You may not use our brand or content without permission, except as needed to use the service normally.

12. Availability & changes

We work to keep Machillz available and accurate, but we may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time, and information may occasionally be out of date or contain errors. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

13. Disclaimers

Machillz is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, safety or availability of any place, event, deal or third party listed. Your dealings with venues, organisers and other users are at your own risk.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Machillz and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Machillz against claims, losses and costs arising from your content, your use of the platform, or your breach of these terms or the law.

16. Suspension & termination

You may stop using Machillz and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or where we reasonably need to protect the platform, other users or ourselves. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licences, disclaimers and liability limits) will continue to apply.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Zimbabwean courts, unless a mandatory local law where you use the service provides otherwise.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. We will update the date below and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to let you know. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
